Buttercup Field is very special, with 6 acres comprising three distinct areas. There is a large car park and a path leading to the field entrance gate. Please note the car park area is secure for medium to large dogs, but small dogs could get through the holes in the deer fencing, so please keep your little ones on lead until you are in the field! The main gate has a combination padlock on it. You will be sent the code for this when you book. Please ensure that you put the padlock back on the gate and secure it, when you exit the field at the end of your time slot.

The first area is all open grass. Here you will find a poo bin and a drinking water tap for the dogs. There is also a hose and rubber matting close to the entrance. Handy for the wetter months to hose any mud off your dog/s before leaving the field. We leave most of the grass long in the summer, with paths mown to make for easy walking for us humans. The dogs however love the long grass. We cut the grass before it seeds, so there’s far less risk of dogs getting grass seeds in either their ears or paws.

The second area contains ditches, hedgerows, trees and a paddling pool for the dogs. The final field contains a small wooded area, pond (seasonal, as it tends to dry up in the summer) and a further area of open grass.

If you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil walk with your dog with loads of interest this is the field for you. It truly feels like a proper walk, rather than just somewhere safe to let your dog off lead.

Perfect for…. exercising your dog where there is no risk of bumping into other dogs, or people, gaining confidence to let your dog off lead, training without distractions, scent work and ideal if you and your dogs like a stimulating environment for the senses.

We very much hope you and your dogs have a very enjoyable time at Buttercup Field. Do feel free to contact us if you have any further questions or queries.
